Abrir conta bancária no Canadá AINDA no Brasil

 Oi pessoas!
 Na última postagem, onde mostrei um compacto com as dicas da palestra da Hi Bonjour, eu toquei no ponto de abrir conta no Canadá ainda estando aqui na selva. Inicialmente eles falaram do ScotiaBank, mas quando procurei esse banco, o mesmo disse só abrir conta para cidadãos canadenses. Procurei a Hi Bonjour e eles recomendaram o Bank of Montreal, e esse sim permite abrir conta para quem pretende imigrar!

Mandei um email pro banco, que foi prontamente respondido, confirmando que eles abrem conta para imigrantes ou estudantes antes de desembarcarem, e inclusive mandaram um tutorial sobre como fazer isso:

If you’re a Visa student, you’re immigrating to Canada, or you’re coming here to work for a long period of time, BMO Bank of Montreal can open a Canadian bank account for you before you arrive.  To get started, visit www.bmo.com/newstart and follow these steps:

1.     Select NewStart Banking Plan
2.     Scroll down to Free Performance Plan Chequing account
3.     Select the “Here’s how” link under “Need to open a Canadian bank account before you leave your home country?”

From here you can download and complete all the required forms and forward them by registered mail to the branch where you would like your account to be opened.

Once the branch has received your forms, they will open a bank account for you and mail you the account number.  You can then arrange to transfer funds to your new account by international wire transfer.

Once the funds are in your account, the branch will mail you a letter confirming your deposit which can be presented to Immigration Canada as ‘proof of settlement funds’.
